*A Fabulous Re-post
Get inspired by true vintage pieces if it's impractical for you to have your own. Decide on your favorite period, then search the web and boutiques to find your perfect gown...
Timeless wedding dresses from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s...what's old is soooo fabulously new again. Beautifully restored one-of -a kind bridal gowns by The Vintage Wedding Dress Company.
Vivienne Westwood sure does know how to design a fabulous bridal gown...
Remember Carrie Bradshaw's famous wedding gown from the Sex in the City movie a few years ago? Well, this would be the designer who created the gown (which sold out immediately after being available for purchase on net-a-porter.com) From modern... to romantic... to dramatic, these very diverse gowns are beautiful in their own way. My favorite avant-garde piece is the short dress, with the long ruffle train...very girly and dramatic!
Gorgeous bridal gown options for the brave bride who'd were black on her special day. Luckily, the fabulous Vera Wang has perfected the art of the black wedding gown...they are just as beautifully designed as their white counter parts! Ruffles, asymmetric shapes, femininity...with a bit of sexy, too.
Every wedding must have a bit of glam....even a Halloween themed wedding!
It's all in the details, like this crystal hair clip/brooch by Parisxox, or rock a super glam black birdcage veil by Ellen Marie Jewelry. Whimsical touches include a R.I.P. cake topper by At Company B and I *love* the ring bearer coffin which reads "'Til Death Do Us Part"...well, it's true, right? :-). Also, a unique accessory to incorporate the Halloween theme is this hand crocheted parasol by Kolus79...it'll add more girly-ness to a not-so-girly theme.
So, I haven't been posting much on my blog or facebook lately...I apologize lovely people!
Unfortunately, the bad news is that I lost my father in August, so, needless to say, I've been emotionally spent :-(. However, the good news is that it also a happy time since my BFF is pregnant with her first baby! Yay!
Helping to plan the pink & purple princess themed baby shower has been a fun distraction from our family tragedy, so, I am very grateful. I created and designed the invitations, the pom centerpieces and the candy favors. It turned out great; the food was good, my BFF was showered with gifts, and the shower was entertaining and fun.
Would you like to learn how I made these? I'm considering offering DIY tutorials for weddings & showers in the future, so, email me at info@ninareneedesigns.com to let me know if this is something you may be interested in.
